Great trails in Somerset

We introduce you to food, falconry and the fascinating culture of this most ancient county
Somerset – where the cider apples grow, the Cheddar cheese is made, and visitors find plenty of attractions on offer, including attractions and natural habitats, landscapes and seascapes to explore and enjoy.
Lovers of nature will find plenty to do because Somerset’s habitats support a wealth of birds, animals and plants. The indigenous wildlife can be seen at closer quarters at bird reserves, falconries and working farms, while more exotic residents can be spotted at the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas.
The following pages will also introduce you to some of Somerset’s finest natural and man-made landmarks including Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor the caves at Cheddar Gorge, and Wookey Hole where you will learn that you are not the first visitors to the area and certainly won’t be the last…
