Oxfordshire must be one of the luckiest counties in England. It's not far from anywhere, with good access by road and rail. It has more than its fair share of rolling Cotswold countryside, plus areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the Vale of the White Horse, and delightful towns and
villages such as Chipping Norton, Woodstock, Burford, Charlbury, and Great Tew. Then there's Blenheim Palace and, of course, the city
of Oxford, home of what is
reputedly the oldest English speaking university in the world.
It is no surprise then, that Oxfordshire is a magnet for visitors from all over the world. You could spend many weeks in the county and still not have visited all of its delightful attractions. So it may well come down to making a list of your
priorities for places to visit and accepting that you'll want to come back again and again.
